Pastor Stuart Davidson has served as Lead Pastor of Eastern Shore Baptist Church since 2011. He has a deep love for Scripture, a heart for the Eastern Shore community, and a passion for helping people know and follow Jesus.

Stuart was called to ministry at age 13 and has faithfully served in Southern Baptist churches throughout Alabama, including Birmingham, Montgomery, and Daphne. He is a graduate of Samford University and earned both a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Doctorate of Educational Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Stuart and his wife, Angela, are high school sweethearts and have been married for nearly 26 years. They have three sons: Jay, Jack, and Jett. As a family, they are grateful to call the Eastern Shore home.

Outside of ministry, Stuart is an avid runner and has completed several marathons. Running reminds him of the discipline and endurance Paul writes about in 1 Corinthians 9 — a picture of living faithfully and running the race God has set before us.

Pastor Stuart loves Eastern Shore Baptist Church and is committed to faithfully preaching God’s Word, serving this community, and helping people take their next step with Christ.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly, I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”
— I Corinthians 9:24-27
