Mission Statement:

Our mission in the Children’s Ministry at ESBC is to disciple the children of ESBC and the Eastern Shore by providing a biblically enriched environment at ESBC in which they can develop and solidify their faith in Christ (Showing), grow in Christ as disciples (Growing), and learn to work together with brothers and sisters in Christ to make disciples as they voyage into life (Going).

LIFE GROUPS

Sundays

At 9:00 am in Life Group, children are taught Bible verses and key stories of the Bible. Our teachers are dedicated to helping your children develop their faith.

Preschoolers:

Our preschool building is located adjacent to our sanctuary and is designed for children from birth through 5 years old.

Older Children:

Kindergarten through 6th grade meet in our Activity Building next to the Preschool Department.

How We Carry Out Our Mission:

  • Life Groups (Sundays at 9 AM):
    • Also known as Sunday School.
    • We have age-graded classes for children of all ages with fantastic teachers.
    • We use Bible Studies for Life Curriculum. It is published by Lifeway.

  • Children’s Church (The Fishing Hole) for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade (Sundays except the first Sunday of the month):
    • Children’s Church is designed to prepare children in grades kindergarten through third to worship in corporate worship with their family.
    • Worship is designed after the corporate style.
    • We do not meet the first Sunday of each month so that children can worship with their families.

  • Music ’n’ Missions (Wednesdays at 5:30 PM):
    • Music ’n’ Missions is divided into two sections: Children’s Choir and Missions
      • Children’s Choir (Music)
        • Wednesday evenings begin with Children's Choirs at 5:30 p.m.
          • Preschool Choir for ages 4 & 5 meets on the Preschool Hall.
          • Chosen Choir for grades 1-3 meets in the Children’s Church Room.
          • Driven Choir for grades 4-6 meets in their designated choir room upstairs in the children's building.
        • Join us for a great time of music and fun.
        • Children will be dismissed from choir and brought to the gym for a supper.
      • Mission Friends and Children in Action (Missions)
        • After Children’s Choirs and Supper, we will have a time for children to learn about and participate in missions activities. This lasts until 7:30 p.m.
        • Missions Friends is a missions discipleship organization for preschool children.
        • Children in Action is a missions discipleship organization for children in grades 1–6.
        • Children involved in this ministry will grow in learning more about missions and will be involved in doing missions.
        • We aim to regularly provide opportunities for children to get involved in missions on the own appropriate age level.
